FABLE, with its allusion to the ancient story of the Hare and the Tortoise, is especially suitable to people who are getting married later in life. The Latin inscription (my own) on the invitation border may be translated ‘By moving slowly, you are all the more certain of reaching your goal. The victorious Tortoise - behold her - sets the example’.
Note that the samples illustrated below use a non-standard typeface (Benguiat). See the Plantagenet (mediaeval) page for an example of the usual Post Antiqua typeface.
